Analyzing two-dimensional turbulence, it is observed that large turbulents prevail over smaller ones. As for climatology, cyclones, among other things, act as if they were two-dimensional structures.

Mathematically, in the 1970s the same conclusion was reached, that is, the flow of energy went from small to large. They have now used experimentation at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. On the one hand, the behavior of a group of turbulence generated by magnetic fields in a saltwater container has been analyzed. On the other hand, they have performed a simulation through a computer program.

In both cases the same conclusion is reached: as a small swirl loses energy, a large swirl occurs.
