A typical compound of food and drink and bottle containers, bisphenol, diabetes and the risk of cardiovascular disease, have been associated in an epidemiological study of the medical school Peninsula of the United Kingdom.
90% of a representative sample of the American population has detected this compound in urine. And after relating the level of bisphenol to the state of health in 1,455 Americans, a quarter of people with a higher level have found that twice the risk of developing diabetes or cardiovascular disease is higher than that of people with a lower level.
Diabetes has not surprised the researchers, since in some research with the mouse it was detected that the compound bisfenol-A influences the production of insulin. Cardiovascular diseases have been a surprise. However, researchers have warned of the need to conduct a new study before drawing firm conclusions.
