In the US, Altus, a robotic plane that will enter the center of storms. It is a heavy variant of Predator aircraft used in Kosovon and Afghanistan, but instead of missiles it carries sensors to measure magnetic and electric currents. It also features a wind speed measurement device and a ray light detection camera. Unlike pilots, the Altus aircraft can spend hours inside the storm at low speed. At least it will be more beneficial than its predecessor.
