Towards the definition of the limits of the Solar System
The IBEX (Interestellar Boundary Explorer), a space ship designed by NASA to define the map of the solar system limit, is already in orbit. The spacecraft will determine the map by analyzing the interactions between the solar wind and the particles of interstellar space. According to those responsible for the mission, it is important to know this area, since it acts as a shield to prevent cosmic rays from reaching the Earth. However, it will not go beyond the planets to perform this work, but will work in a remote orbit of the Earth, closer than the Moon itself.
