BioSciences has presented a machine to sequence the genome faster and cheaper than before. This machine is able to read monolelliptical DNA nucleotides, thus avoiding the need to amplify DNA.
Precisely in the methodology used now it is necessary to amplify the DNA, that is, create copies of fragments of DNA. But this step is complex and risks errors.
The machine they now publish, like other sequencers, is based on the synthesis method, but is adapted to the reading of molecules isolated from DNA. That's why sequencing is easier and faster than the rest. However, it is not yet capable of sequencing large DNA fragments, as the company's report has determined that they have sequenced a 30-nucleotide DNA fragment.
