Long-term presence of protective cells in the bone marrow from covid-19

In the bone marrow of people with light COVID-19, cells that produce antibodies have been found in the long term. Thus, those affected have confirmed their long-term support. The study has been published in the journal Nature.
The immune system of 77 people who have had COVID-19 has been studied. They found that antibody production was reduced within four months of infection. However, at 11 months antibodies to protein S were still detected. Of these people, 18 studied bone marrow and at 15 plasma cells against protein S have been found. Plasmacytes are preserved for decades in the bone marrow, providing long-term protection.
In addition, the same research team has found the first signs that suggest that the Pfizer vaccine also causes the formation of bone marrow plasmacytes.
