CAF-Elhuyar. On March 10, the awards were presented at the headquarters of the Elhuyar Foundation.

In this edition, in addition to the three main awards for outreach articles and the special award for young people, a one-year scholarship has been awarded for the writing of an informative book. In total, 28 articles of dissemination and 3 projects for the writing of the informative book have been presented.

Biologist Bego a Arrate Larra has been the winner of the 4,500 scholarship for the writing of the informative book for the project entitled The network of life weaving. In the book he wants to work on the concept of life, considering that it is a network. The objective of the project is to make a description of this network from the human point of view, evolution, environment, etc. ... The author will work on the relationship between all these bases and reflect this relationship in the structure of the book.

In the article section, the first prize went to the work 'The Revolution of the Railways'. Its author has been Hibai Unzueta Garc a. 'The author summarizes in his article the development and innovation works that are being carried out in materials, structure, communication systems, etc. to turn the train into a competitive and modern means of transport.

The second prize went to the work 'Zaharrak berri', written by biologist Estibaliz Arbelaitz Ubegun. 'The author has written about ancient trees, especially shattered trees, which are heritage of life and activity of yesteryear, and about the need to preserve that heritage.

The scholarship to write the book has been for Bego a Arrate.

The third prize was for the work entitled 'Fish, genes and chips: freedom of expression in the face of pollution'. The authors were Eider Bilbao Castellanos and Ibon Cancio Uriarte. In this paper the authors discuss the usefulness of fish to investigate pollution and the effects of pollution. To do this they investigate the changes that pollution can produce in the genetic characteristics of fish. They publicize the world of toxicogenomics.

Finally, the Youth Special Prize went to 'Maite haugu, zorion'. Article written by Igor Aristegi Urkia. This young man has spoken of sadness, melancholy and depression in the article and of the medications we use to cure them, but also of new psychological techniques.
