According to Peter Gouras, professor at the Eye Institute at Columbia University in New York, the first transplants of glasses or retinas in humans will be performed before a year. First of all, the posterior pigment epithelium will be performed. When it deteriorates, an age-related yellow spot degeneration occurs and it should not be forgotten that it is the most important cause of blindness in Europe.
