Global warming at the heart of ice

The concentration of gases that cause the warming of the atmosphere is the highest of the last thousands of years: carbon dioxide is now 28% higher than any other period and methane is 134% higher than prehistoric highs. These data have been obtained by researchers from the University of Bern, from the last column of ice extracted in Antarctica in the EPICA program, and the results have been published in the scientific journal Nature.
