More black than black

The blackest skin of all time has been achieved at the National Physics Laboratory in Britain. These black surfaces that reflect very little light serve to cover telescopes. The current surface reflects 10-20 times less light than the current one and is 25 times blacker than conventional black paint.

The new material has been manufactured with a nickel and phosphorus alloy, with small pores that absorb light. Although it is still expensive, the authors want it to be cheaper and have more applications.
