Look at the light, the flower!
Although phototropism has long been known, scientists did not know what directed plants to go to light. Now the molecular mechanism of this phenomenon is clarified. Apparently, the main agent is a protein called phototropin. Thanks to this protein, the plant seed detects and decodes blue photons from light, growing underground into light.
