Image taken a few days ago on the city of Tromso (Norway). The main protagonist, undoubtedly, is the colorful and spectacular aurora. However, in his image, the photographer has collected three traces of satellites and an airplane. If you look well, in the image you can see another person who is watching the celestial show.

Aurora is a discharge phenomenon that occurs when energy electrodes penetrate the high polar atmosphere. And it is one of the most fascinating shows that nature can offer. Normally it is only observable in high latitudes (also visible from space with x-rays). The northern aurora is observed in the northern hemisphere and the southern aurora is observed in the southern hemisphere.
