Tuna is fast, but not the only one with this design

Some researchers have discovered a beautiful example of convergent evolution. It seems that there is a shark that uses a similar design to the tuna for swimming.
It has been considered that the special anatomy of tuna was the only one; unlike other fish, the muscles are concentrated in the center of the body, where tuna exerts the strength to move the tail. As the shark of the genus Isurus uses a similar structure to swim.
Both types of fish share the same organic txoko, are very fast and carry out long migrations. And although evolution split 400 million years ago, today they use the same strategy to swim.
