The Planetarium of Pamplona and the Spanish Astronomy Society have named the asteroid 1990 KB1 with the name of Javier Gorosábel. They wanted to pay tribute to the scientist and dibulador Javier Gorosabel Urkia. Eibarrés Javier Gorosabel Urkia died two years ago and was a reference researcher in the field of violent cosmic phenomena called gamma-ray explosions.
From now on, therefore, the name of the asteroid will be Javiergorosabel, since according to the criteria of the International Astronomy Society, the names of planetary bodies must be of one word. The asteroid was discovered by astrophysicist Elebor Francis Helin, with a difference of 7 km and needs 3.47 years to rotate around the Sun.
