The Pismis 24-1 was the largest star in the Milky Way, but thanks to the Hubble telescope they have realized that it is not the only star, which are at least two.

The mass of these stars is one hundred times higher than that of the Sun, according to the researchers who have discovered -- ESA and NASA have worked together and the San Sebastian astrophysicist Jesus Maiz Apellaniz has been in charge of presenting the finding, but it is possible that instead of being two stars they have three. None of these stars is the largest star of the Milky Way, but, however, they are very large and will help in researching the maximum mass of the stars.
