Flat lens: change focus voltage

Canadian researchers present a flat lens that adjusts the focus through electrical voltage. The lens has been added to a liquid crystal a monomer and has been made polymerized by laser. In some milliseconds the focal length of this lens passes from 1.6 to 8 meters, passing the voltage from 1.5 to 4.5 volts.
