3 kilometres of ice in Europe

A group of researchers at the University of Arizona has pointed out that Jupiter's moon Europe has a 3-kilometer-deep ice sheet. From the images sent by the Galileo and Voyager probes, scientists analyzed 28 impact craters. Of these craters, 6 have the top in the center. Therefore, scientists believe that in frost there are no hot areas, since otherwise there could be no summits. The morphology and structure of the European craters show that the impacts were not able to melt the thick layer of ice.
