Mysterious gamma rays

Between April 1991 and October 1993 there has been a curious phenomenon in the terrestrial equator, in the upper layers of the atmosphere and after a great storm. Compton space observatory has detected twelve times the luminosity caused by gamma-ray radiation in a few million seconds.

Gerald Fishman, the chief of the team who has recorded these facts, is a scientist who is investigating the causes that can give rise to these clarividencies, since the processes known so far do not produce them.
