Falkirk Wheel, bridge and elevator?

Scotland has a wide network of channels. From Edinburgh to Glasgow, for example, you can go by boat on the Union Canal. This channel is also connected to another channel linking the eastern and western coasts of Scotland, the Forth and Clyde. But Scotland is not flat; at the intersection of both channels there is a jump of 24 meters. The boats make this jump from one channel to another through the Falkirk Wheel machine. It is a bridge and at the same time a boat lift. Engineering model of the twentieth century.
