A Texas company wants to put aside phone lines and use electric lines to transport Internet information. But it does not want to transport the information by electric current, but to use as a means of transport the magnetic field generated by the electrical lines around it. Internet information will be sent to electrical signal generation centers via optical fiber, where it will be transformed into a microwave.

These microwaves will then travel outside the power lines to the receiver modem. This way you can transmit several megabytes per second, much more than using the electric current. The inventor believes that this use will achieve a system that competes with telephone transport.
