The services of cable networks will reach the villages

R and Euskaltel present the project CELERIA. The aim of this project is to reach areas that currently do not receive cable services due to social and demographic problems. For this purpose they propose to use techniques that do not use thread.

So far, Euskaltel has used these techniques so that villages far away from the large urban nuclei receive the same services as those of cabling. In addition, to confirm that the access system is adequate, applications of tele-recycling and e-commerce have been developed, trying to inform the population.

Services Services Services

CELERIA offers radio access to the following services:

  • Digital television: You can see about 50 channels. The same quality as those receiving by cable and satellite
    They offer it.
  • Broadband Internet access via cablemódem: Speed between 256/128Kbps and 2/1Mbps and maintenance always “on”. The descending and the return channel are supported by wirelless access.
  • IP telephony: this new technology allows to integrate broadband contents of cable networks with voice. It offers the same services as conventional telephony.

This new technology would therefore be an alternative way to access cabling services, especially for those locations that cannot access the HFC network (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial Cable). From now on, therefore, the distance and the population will be able to park and receive the same services by cable.
