Can you imagine your laptop removing house dust or pulling chicken out of the oven? Well, according to the Californian company Idealab, your computer will be able to do all this without losing the rest of functions.

Idealabe has presented at the electronic entertainment fair Evolution Robotics, the robotic support that houses the laptop. The robot, following the orders of his computer, can carry out tasks that were formerly considered sci-fi.

The robotic support for viewing has a webcam that moves thanks to wheels. It also includes software and, although it is currently prototype, also the arm. Prices are $499 if you ride yourself and $599 if you ride.

The user can connect any laptop to the robot and then is ready to fulfill the orders. For example, in the presentation show the robot was taught a soda jar and ordered to start working every time he saw the pot. The function of the robot was to catch the boat and traverse the imaginary salon to take it to the user. The test did not go well at all, as halfway he dropped the boat, but the authors justified the robot's error saying that the arm was a prototype.

It is clear that you need a number of improvements if you want to enter everyone's home, but as they make it easier, these types of devices will be welcomed.
